I haven't been using ye old IJ for a while since I've been traveling, and using my livejournal because my teacher checks it and it kind of helps my grade. It's complicated but it works, I guess. But anyway, I came here today to check my flist and it seems like it's... gone? XD; There's only one entry on it. But I checked everybody's journals individually then and they're still there, so... weird, I dunno. I guess other people haven't been using IJ much lately either. (But I'll always come back here for the 100 free icons.)
Anyway. Today I watched the first episode of that Higurashi no Naku Koro ni thing. First episode is boring and poorly animated, I have yet to see a reason to watch the second episode. =\
I keep reading new things on onemanga.com too, haha. I'm supposed to be traveling and seeing the world, not reading manga. Though today I'm sick and it really is better that I stay in and don't do much of anything, it seems like such a waste... oh well. Chii's Sweet Home is absolutely adorable, would read and squeal again. The new version of Neon Genesis Evangelion doesn't bear much resemblance to the original, and doesn't seem very unique... Maybe later it will get better? I'll still read it for Kaoru, anyway. X3;;
I should go watch some more Monster Rancher...

For some reason insanejournal wasn't loading for me, so I haven't updated until now. XD Time for some fanarts!
Makai Kingdom + Soul Nomad + Oekaki = CRACK, there's even some phoenix wright fusion in there. Also Fem!Zetta, because I love it. XDb I forget if I posted this before or not.
Pixie is the most bad-ass monster ever and is really all the motivation anybody could ever need to watch Monster Rancher.
I got sucked into Reborn, so: Mukuro and Chrome know that sharing is caring!
Reborn is by far the biggest fandom I've been in since... a while, so. I actually can find things to rec! Like this adorable Mukuro! Socute.
There's this dude on devart who watches me, and every single comment he leaves is just "kool". On just about every pic I submit. Nothing else. Just, "kool". You know I like comments but it's almost kind of annoying. XD;;

I should go do homework after I make this post. =[ Being sick this week made me lose a couple days, so my work plan which had previously left the weekends open now has full workdays this weekend. =[
Hm... in other news, I'm trying to resolve to take things less seriously, and have a little more fun, 'cause I have secretly been a bit stressed out lately. And of course I still have lots of fun lately, but then I feel guilty about things later. XD; Well, anyway, it'll all work out okay!
While I was sick, I started playing Illusion of Gaia. I didn't want to play any more video games while I was over here--I've already gone through four since January--but I had nothing to do...! (... also, i noticed I have Starfox for the SNES on my computer. This bears further investigation.)

Here's an oekaki of Disgaea 2's Rozalin as Phoenix Wright 2's Franziska von Karma. Because somebody else on the oekaki board did Adell as Apollo Justice and Akutare as... that rockstar from the 4th game, I don't know his name. But it was good. |D
It's fun to make Rozalin invade other fandoms, so here she is in YGO style. Because a while ago I thought it might be neat if Rozalin made crazyfaces as YuGiOh characters make crazyfaces. Because let's face it; YGO can be a horrible anime sometimes, but very few people can crazyface like Yami Malik and Yami Bakura. :3
Speaking of Yami Bakura... have a fanart. The title, I've ken of sight, is a quick anagram--muchos bonus points to whoever unscrambles it first. Interestingly enough, the word "ken" is defined both as 'a range of vision or sight,' making the title redundant, but also as a "house where thieves meet." (among other definitions.) [Maybe I should have gone with 'I've sight of ken' instead, but that connotes the name Ken instead of other meanings.]

Webcomic update!
Baaaaaaah.
Beat Secret of Mana this morning. I killeded a mana beast. =[
So the world is saved, but the main characters suffer horribly in the process. Nice.
Man, I wouldn't have gone back to that shitty-ass village though. I'd have shacked up with Phanna.
So, when held against other Super Nintendo games... I would rate this under Legend of Zelda: Link to the Past. Secret of Mana probably actually has a little bit more character development than LttP, haha! But maybe it's just the nostalgia factor, that Zelda game still has my heart. I'd rate both of them under Chrono Trigger, though.
It's been too long since I last beat Illusion of Gaia, so I'm not sure how that ranks up to Secret of Mana. And Secret of Mana is probably a bit more epic than Spike McFang, though I'd still rate them about the same.
All in all, a good game! Though my boy character did disappear in the middle of one of the boss fights and I had to restart, ha ha ha. He was just gone! Crazy.
In other news, I started reading Maka-Maka.

Started watching crazy European TV. May watch wacky show called Primeval again next weekend. My home is not fortified against raptor attack.

Webcomic update!
In addition to a second page of my walking-home story, there is now... an interview. An interview with a real comic artist! Go check it out. The victi--um. Interviewee? Is one Aaron Alexovich, artist and writer of Serenity Rose and Kimmie66, as well as the artist on Confessions of a Blabbermouth and an issue of Fables. Aw yeah. If you haven't checked out any of those books, check them out.
I was going to put photos on this post too, but I am le lazy. Went to the horse races today and am bushed. Also am utterly broke. (These two items are not ... really... connected! Honest!)
Am now reading Megatokyo regularly, in addition to my other 4 webcomics I check. The art's not perfect, but man. It's been updating regularly for so long and the plot has really evolved... sometimes I want to smack the characters very much, but I was really enjoying reading it. Largo, Junpei, and Miho are easily my favourites of the cast. Hayasaka is up there, too.

Webcomic update!
So this last weekend was spent in Galway. Shop street is rather amazing, and there's also some lovely architecture. I mean, it's all churches/cathedrals, but hey. That's where the money for art used to go, so that's where a lot of good old art is. The St. Joseph prayers were a little bit creepy, though...... I mean, in theory, it's good? But that level of... devoutness? kind of scares me. It was very... dedicated.
Um.
On a completely unrelated note, I am so very excited for Disgaea 3. And, unrelated to that, I probably won't be able to watch any Avatar while I'm here, the internet being what it is. So I'll catch up when I get back home sometime in May.

... God. I keep migrating to smaller and smaller fandoms.... orz.
Saw Brokeback Mountain with my mom last night. MY GOD, DO THEY THINK THEY PUT IN ENOUGH SEX SCENES. Crikey. I-I mean how am I supposed to watch that with my mom. It was a good movie! A little hard for me to watch though, since it was like everything to never do in a relationship and no happy ending in sight ever orz. But a good movie! Just not one I'll be watching again. ;_;

Thus far in my super heroes class, I have learned four things. Well, five if you count the fact that I will never truly have free time again while I'm in that class, but I like to not think about that.
The first is that I don't really want to draw superhero comics that somebody else scripts. Apparently I have a lot of potential for inking, though, which I always thought I would be horrible for. ... I still think that, but one of the people who told me that my work looked good for it is somebody whose opinion I trust, so... bleh.
The second is that Barry Windsor-Smith's linework is gorgeous and I wish to steal his genes and/or talent.
The third is that ( once upon a time, Red Sonja wore a shirt! )
The fourth thing is not really a thing so much as ( I still see no reason to trust Frank Miller's writing abilities. )
So that turned into a bit of ranting. Let's see... oh! Yesterday I bought Soul Nomad! I won't be able to play it until Christmas, though, but at least I got an employee discount on it.

Point the first: I got my old job at EB Games back. Soon, Soul Nomad, PW 3, and Phantom Hourglass will all be miiiiine! Along with any other used games I pick up orz.
Point the second:
I'm goin' to Ireland this spring!
From January 5th to April 22nd I will be studying abroad at the Burren College of Art. I am very excited, yes.
If anybody wants to meet me in Ireland and/or somewhere in Europe and go gallivanting about after April 22nd tell me now because I am buying tickets soon.
